The Rev. David Mc Donald, DMin, has served the genealogy community as a lecturer, course coordinator, former board member of NGS. He is a past president of both APG and BCG. An active researcher since the American Bicentennial era, he lectures on beginning research skills, religions and their records, migration patterns, advanced methodology and research in the Midwest. Dave has lectured for NGS, FGS, SCGS Jamboree, state societies in Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, North Carolina, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma and Oregon. He has presented for Ancestry Academy, the Wisconsin Historical Society, the Society of Genealogists (UK) and the Newberry Library. He was the consulting genealogist for the city of Chicago on the expansion of O’Hare Airport. Dave has taught in Advanced and Intermediate tracks at IGHR, as well as Government Documents. A former genealogist for Ancestry Pro Genealogists, he is a retired Protestant minister. Dave lives near the original Draper Manuscripts.
