IGHR Gift Certificate
Give an IGHR 2026 Course as a Gift!
An IGHR gift certificate is the perfect gift for the genealogist(s) in your life! The recipient will use it to register for the course of his or her choice, from our three core courses taking students from beginning to advanced, DNA courses at various levels, and courses for specialized interests, such as Scottish, Southern U.S. and African American research, South Carolina or New York research, land records, and repository research.
Available now through September 15, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. (last day of registration for the last 2026 course).
Courses are offered in two formats: full-time courses that run concurrently for a week during the last week of July and other courses offered once-a-week throughout the year. All courses are virtual.
How does the gift certificate work?
- Click the “Buy Now” button to purchase the gift certificate. You do not need to choose a course. You will receive a confirmation email immediately.
- You will be emailed a lovely, printable gift certificate within 48 hours. It will include a registration code for the recipient to use when registering.
- Whenever the recipient is ready, she or he will register for the course of choice using the code during the normal registration process.
- The gift certificate may be used once during a calendar year.
Terms and conditions:
- Gift certificate must be used during the current or following calendar year (unless prior permission is given by the IGHR Executive Director).
- The purchaser may use his or her GGS membership to receive a $50 discount on the gift certificate. The GGS membership discount code must be applied before purchase. IGHR cannot refund the $50 if the code is not applied. The recipient may not use his or her GGS membership discount code when registering.
- The purchaser may request a refund through the last registration deadline. $20 will be deducted for IGHR costs. Only the purchaser may receive a refund. The recipient may request transfers.
- Enrollment is subject to available seats. The gift certificate does not guarantee a seat in any course. The recipient should register as soon as possible.
