John Dougan serves as the State Archivist and Records Services Division Director for the Missouri Office of the Secretary of State. His Division is responsible for preserving and providing access to state and local government records. The Division includes Records Management and Local Records Sections, the State Imaging and Conservation Labs, and the State Archives. Throughout his career, both in Missouri and previous positions in Shelby County, Tennessee, he has been a strong advocate for open access to public records.
