In Memory of Frazine K. Taylor
Frazine K. Taylor was a trailblazer in the field of genealogy education for researchers of African American family history, most notably through her work as the first coordinator of the Researching African American Ancestry track at IGHR, a role she embraced from 2004 to 2018. She selflessly shared her knowledge, experience and her enthusiasm with everyone she met, whether in her career, her church or any one of the numerous community organizations in which she participated. Always leading with a gracious smile, her impact is immeasurable as she literally touched the lives of family historians, librarians, archivists and genealogists throughout the country and even the world. We were all blessed by the strength of her commitment and light of her spirit. She will be missed on earth but her work will continue to inspire the generations to follow because they will know their history…thanks to Frazine.
A Resolution by IGHR and GGS
The Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research and the Georgia Genealogical Society have signed a resolution as a commitment to honor Frazine K. Taylor’s memory by perpetual maintenance of the Frazine K. Taylor Scholarship established in her name.
