Jennifer Dunn is a genealogist and family historian specializing in poor and hard to find Southern US ancestors. She holds a B.A. in US History with an emphasis on the American South, and she’s especially interested in how social, economic, and labor trends influenced our ancestors’ lives.

An avid volunteer, she’s the long-time co-chair of the Cherokee County (Georgia) Oral History Committee, has filled various roles on the Webinar Team at the Georgia Genealogical Society (GGS), and has worked with the Cherokee County Georgia government and history center on local projects such as identifying unknown burials. She has also done multiple research projects for the television show Finding Your Roots.

Jennifer speaks to groups around the US, chipping away at getting other family historians as excited about tax and economic records as she is. Find out more about her at her website, blog, and YouTube channel: CopperMineGenealogy.com.
