Angela Packer McGhie is passionate about genealogy education. She designs courses for the National Genealogical Society as the Education Director. Angela also coordinates courses for IGHR and SLIG and teaches at GRIP and GenFed. Angela developed and directed the ProGen Study Program for six years and now serves on the Board of Directors.

Board-certified since 2016, Angela serves as a Trustee for the Board for Certification of Genealogists, and as Trustee for the BCG Education Fund. She is a past president of the National Capital Area Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists. Angela published articles in the APG Quarterly, Crossroads Magazine, and the NGS Magazine. In January 2021, she was honored as a Fellow of the Utah Genealogical Association.
