Hobbs, Patti Lee
Patti Lee Hobbs, a Certified Genealogist since 2014, holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and lives in southwest Missouri. Her childhood reading consisting of detective novels and a college history class sparking a love of history made genealogical research a logical meshing of the two. The college biology classes made it easy to integrate DNA testing as an additional tool when it became available. Patti volunteers as a trustee of the Board for Certification of Genealogists, as a BCG Education Fund trustee, as president for the Ozarks Genealogical Society, and serves on the editorial board for the National Genealogical Society Quarterly. Patti’s article “DNA Identifies a Father for Rachel Lee of Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania” was published in the March 2017 issue of the National Genealogical Society Quarterly, and she is a contributing author of Advanced Genetic Genealogy: Techniques and Case Studies.
