Michael L. Strauss, AG, is an Accredited Genealogist and a nationally recognized genealogical lecturer. A native of Pennsylvania and a resident of Utah, he has been an avid genealogist for more than 35 years. Strauss holds a BA in History and is a United States Coast Guard veteran. He is a licensed Private Investigator and qualified expert witness in Court in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Additionally he is an approved genealogist with the United States Army to locate DNA qualified persons MIA from Korea, Vietnam, and World War II. Michael has been involved in Civil War reenacting for more than 25 years with the 99th New York Infantry and Battery A. 5th U.S. Artillery and most recently with the Utah Living History Association.

Abbott, PhD, to honor Ms Taylor upon her retirement as coordinator of the "Researching African American Ancestors" course. For IGHR 2019, this scholarship is limited to individuals interested in enrolling in Course 10 - Building an African American Research Toolbox.
